MOTIVATION BEHIND THE FUNDRAISERS

For those who are unaware of the motivation behind this gathering, Tomas Brescacin and I are in the throngs of organising a musical aid mission for Vanuatu called the Vanuatu Music Revival Project, collecting people’s guitars and ukuleles that are lying gathering dust around their homes and sending them via sailing yachts (with the Drifting Circus) into the hands of people on the islands of Vanuatu who lost all their instruments in cyclone PAM.
As the project has really picked up momentum, I’ve decided to make a documentary about the voyage and showing how important music is to these communities, how it unites people of different cultures and can be an incredible healing tool after such a disaster…

As both the aid mission and documentary are currently unfunded, we are fundraising to make them both possible.
See the webpage for more info and get in touch if you’d like to help out in any way!
